Hello, welcome to my DeviantArt abode! Here, you will find mainly nature photography and digital drawings.

  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? 3 years

  2. What does your username mean? The story behind it is that belligerent is my favourite word (I like how it sounds, haha), and since the username 'belligerent' was always taken on various websites, I added an extra 'L' and made it Bellligerent! (belligerent itself means "hostile, aggressive, or warlike"...but I'm not like that, I promise!!)

  3. Describe yourself in three words. Silly, introspective, eccentric

  4. Are you left or right handed? Left handed!

  5. What was your first deviation? Bright Night by Bellligerent

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? Digital drawings, photography

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Hmm...I would love to master cel shading!

  8. What was your first favourite? A Love for the Arts by Delacorr

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Photography and comic strips!

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Ahh I can't pick just one! :iconsilentreaper: :iconberkozturk:

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? One of the people from the previous question! It would be cool to have a conversation with one of them.

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? Many people I've met here aren't on dA anymore, but they have inspired and encouraged me!

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art? My drawing tablet and my Canon DSLR (and point-and-shoot, for on-the-go shots!)

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? For photography - definitely amidst nature, especially rocky beaches or a place with an abundance of moss and lichens. For drawing - a room that receives a lot of natural light!

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? My favourite memories would probably be ones of meeting friends on here!

Good to meet you (I came via your 'Namako te-mu' [*] Azumanga Daioh pic).

Loving your photography, especially the macro stuff (lichens!!!).
- It is something I've long wanted to do myself (mostly leaf & flower), and you're already doing it better than I ever could.
--- Just thought I'd say.

* Watch out when you're copying Japanese text. Sometimes it is already stylized, and it is easy to make one thing look like another, in this case the katakana 'te' テ which already looks too much like 'chi' チ. - WHOA! HOLD THAT THOUGHT!

- I went looking, and every image I see has the 'te' wrong!! I believe the error must be in the anime itself. Bugger me!
(more research needed, but I think I have discovered something.)

Cheers - L.

Hi there! :meow:

Thank you so much for the compliment! I'm so glad you like my photography. Macro is such an eye-opening experience, it's like opening yourself up to a new world! (I don't even have a proper macro lens to be honest, so I bet there's another depth to the world that I still haven't been able to experience yet.) If you can, definitely go for it :3 I'd love to see your work!

Haha, turns out チーム is indeed the correct way of writing "team." From my understanding, it's only possible to make the "ti" sound in Japanese with ティ, so an alternate way to write "team" is ティーム. However, it seems that the former is more commonly used. I read somewhere a while back that digraphs like ティ were added later to Katakana to account for sounds that weren't originally in Japanese (and hence to transcribe foreign words better), but certain foreign words had become popular before these sounds were available, so original Japanese sounds are still used for those words. I'm assuming that's the case here, where "chi" was used instead of "ti". ^_^

Ahhhh...! I stand corrected, and now better informed. - So 'team', like 'coffee', was taken in very early and hence not using the later blends.
I still have SO MUCH to learn!!

Re photography, I accidentally (and rather stupidly) 'killed' my lovely Fuji DSLR about 6 months ago and have been holding off buying a replacement. (I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S-2, meanwhile. Even to create videos) I don't know many people deep enough into photography *and* video to ask for solid advice.

Think I should get something that is good at both, without re-mortgaging the house! Any suggestions?

Also - I'm going to put you under a 'watch'. Interested in seeing more of your pix.
- Cheers!
